Veteran’s Day Assembly

Parent-Teacher Conferences

Parent-Teacher conferences will be held on Monday, November 5 from 4:00-7:00.  Please sign up for a time that is convenient for you.  If you are unable to attend during the scheduled conference times, please contact your child’s teacher to set up a time.  If you need to re-schedule your conference time, please call the office at 226-8765.  Pleas click the link below to set up your conference.  You will need to scroll down to your child’s teacher, and then click “view” to select a time.  If you have any questions, please contact your child’s teacher or Mrs. Budny.

Gifted Identification Referral Window is Opening Soon!

A parent/guardian, professional educator, community member, self, or peer may refer a student for a Gifted Referral. Referrals are accepted in writing by the school’s Gifted Identification Coordinator, Mrs. Jennifer Williams, during the specific dates for specified grades:

October 9-26, 2018 – Referrals accepted for Third, Fourth and Fifth grade students
January 3-18, 2019 – Referrals accepted for Kindergarten, First, and Second grade students

Parents/Guardians must send an email or submit a request in writing to Mrs. Williams from October 9-26, 2018 or January 3-18, 2019 of the appropriate referral window. Mrs. Williams will send an Academic Referral Form and the Parent/Guardian Questionnaire home to be completed and returned.

Know an amazing principal? Nominate him or her for a 2018-19 REB leadership award

Henrico, Va. Oct. 1, 2018 – The REB Awards for Distinguished Educational Leadership provide a tangible, public way to recognize an outstanding principal at a Henrico County school. The Community Foundation’s yearly awards identify, recognize and support leadership excellence in the Richmond area. Honorees receive an unrestricted $7,500 cash grant, and $7,500 to be used for school initiatives. Eligible are principals from public schools in Henrico, Chesterfield and Hanover counties and the city of Richmond. Nominees should have served in their current positions for at least three years.

Who: The Community Foundation invites nominations from students, parents, colleagues, school personnel and administrators and the community at large. Nominations should take the form of a completed nomination form, downloaded from the foundation’s website, a one- to two-page typeset letter describing the nominee’s distinguished educational leadership. It can be accompanied by up to three one-page letters of support. Principals may not nominate themselves.

When: Nominations must be mailed or hand-delivered, and must be received by 5 p.m. on Nov. 8. Emailed or faxed nominations are not accepted.
